How secure is the Unit 25 facility?


We utilise a range of modern security systems installed and managed by Nelson Alarms to make sure that anything stored with us is well looked after. The entry gate is controlled by a swipe tag ensuring that only authorised customers and staff can access our storage facility. Each unit is individually alarmed and padlocked. Our Facility has 24/7 CCTV monitoring and security lighting.




Do I need Storage Insurance?


All goods should be insured whilst in storage. Many home insurance policies will extend their cover to a self storage facility.




When can I access my storage unit?


The gate system is restricted to access between the following hours: Monday – Sunday: 07.00 to 21.30 (Summer hours)
Monday – Sunday: 07.30 to 19.30 (Winter hours)




What if my plans change?


If you have already booked your storage unit with Unit 25 and you need to change your move in or out date, it’s really simple. Simply get in touch with us and we will adjust your booking. Call us on 021 043 8712




What payment methods do you accept?


Most Unit 25 customers choose to pay via Direct Debit. However, we also accept all major credit and debit cards.




Do I have to sign an agreement prior to moving in?


Yes. All rented units require a storage agreement. Our storage agreement also outlines our terms and conditions. You just need you to sign a storage agreement and show a form of ID (passport, driver’s licence) When you sign up, we usually ask for 1 weeks’ rent in advance plus 1 week bond, which we refund when you move out.




What about Pests?


We maintain a regular pest control programme and we ask you assist us by not storing foodstuffs, seeds or other perishable items in your storage unit as they can attract insects and vermin.




Do I need a padlock?


Yes, all our units require a padlock (size 55/40) to secure them. You are welcome to provide your own or you can purchase a high quality padlock from us.




Is there a minimum rental period?


At Unit 25 we like to keep things simple for our customers. Our minimum rental period is 1 month, however, if you decide to leave before your 1 month period is up you will be refunded your unused number of weeks.




Am I signing a long term lease?


No, all our leases are on a month-to-month basis giving you the freedom to only rent for as long as you need. You will need to ensure the unit is clean and tidy when you move out.




How often do I need to pay?


We charge for storage on a weekly basis - Customers are required to pay their storage charges 1 week in advance.
